Vijay Wins Fedex Cup and $10 Million Bonus

September 29, 2008

Cleveland Golf (SRI Sports Group) staff player Vijay Singh officially won the 2008 FedEx Cup yesterday after completing his final round at The Tour Championship. Singh built such a commanding lead heading into the final event by winning the first two playoff tournaments that all he needed to do was complete four rounds to collect the top prize which includes the $10 million bonus.

"We are so proud to have someone of Vijay's caliber playing Cleveland equipment and winning such a prestigious award," said Greg Hopkins, President/CEO of Cleveland Golf/Srixon. "It just goes to show that hard work, determination and the best equipment in golf really can make a difference."

Singh has won 34 PGA TOUR titles over the course of his career, 22 of them since turning age 40. Singh has also won more events on the PGA TOUR than any foreign-born player and is four victories shy of moving into a tie for 10th among all-time career winners.
"I feel very comfortable with my golf swing," said Singh. "I understand it a little bit more now than I've ever done before, and I'm putting well. I feel like this is the best I've ever putted in my life, so that's a good thing to have this late in my career."

Singh plays with a HiBORE XL driver (9.5), a Launcher Steel fairway wood, CG1 irons (4-PW), CG12 wedges (54, 60, 64) and Never Compromise GM2 Exchange putter (#7).
