Stenson Wins Nedbank Golf Challenge

Cleveland Golf/Srixon (SRI Sports Group) congratulates Srixon staffer Henrik Stenson for his victory at the 2008 Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa (the Gary Player Country Club).

Stenson closed the event with a 4-under 68 on Sunday to clinch the tournament by nine strokes. He finished with a 21-under 267 total for the second-largest margin of victory in the tournament's history and a $1.2 million winners check. Other great players he beated were Kenny Perry, Robert Karlsson, Rory Sabbatini, Sergio Garcia, Lee Westwood, K J Choi, James Kingston, Justin Rose, Trevor Immelman, Luke Donald, and Miguel Angel Jimenez.

Stenson won the tournament using Srixon I -701 irons and a new Srixon prototype golf ball.
"It wraps up a very good season for me," said Stensen. "I had three or four great years in a row now, so I am very happy to finish it off with two wins and I will take one more chance at the SA Open."
Stensen will conclude his year by playing the South African Open on December 18.
