SrixonŽ Staffers Battle SrixonŽ Staffers for Two Playoff Wins

SrixonŽ Sports, a world leader in golf club and golf ball technology, congratulates SrixonŽ staffers Jim Furyk for his PGA playoff victory at the 2010 Verizon Heritage and Komei Oda for his playoff win at the Token Homemate Cup, on the Japan Golf Tour (JGTO).
Furyk defeated fellow SrixonŽ staffer Brian Davis on the first playoff hole after Davis ticked a loose reed during his backswing and called a two-stroke penalty on himself.
"Awkward for him to lose that way, and a little awkward for me to win,"said Furyk."It's obviously a tough loss for him and I respect and admire what he did."Davis drained an 18-footer for birdie on the final hole of regulation to force a playoff against Furyk. Davis'errant approach shot on the first playoff hole hit the left edge of the green, rattled off the rocks bordering Calibogue Sound and settled among some grass."It was one of those things,"said Davis."I thought I saw movement out of the corner of my eye and I thought we'd check on TV, and indeed there was movement." Davis immediately conceded victory to Furyk, who putted out for his 15th PGA Tour win and second win since March.
During the event, Furyk played a SrixonŽ Z-STAR™ X golf ball, a ClevelandŽ Launcher DST hybrid, SrixonŽ Z-TX™ irons (3, 5-PW) and ClevelandŽ CG15™ wedges (50, 56, 60), while Davis played a SrixonŽ Z-STAR™ golf ball, a ClevelandŽ Launcher™ fairway wood (15), ClevelandŽ CG Tour™ irons (3-9) and ClevelandŽ 588™ wedges (47, 54, 60). Furyk and Davis wear SrixonŽ hats, carry SrixonŽ bags and use SrixonŽ gloves.
On the JGTO, at the Token Homemate Cup, SrixonŽ staffer Komei Oda won a three-way playoff to earn his second consecutive victory at the event. Another fellow SrixonŽ staffer, Satoru Hirota, finished tied for second place in the tournament. Oda played a SrixonŽ Z-STAR™ golf ball, a SrixonŽ Z-TX™ driver (9.5) and Z-TX™ fairway woods (15, 18), SrixonŽ irons, a ClevelandŽ CG15™ wedge (52) and a ClevelandŽ 588™ wedge (58). Hirota played a SrixonŽ Z-STAR™ golf ball, SrixonŽ Z-TX™ irons (5-PW) and ClevelandŽ CG15™ wedges (52, 58). Oda and Hirota also wear SrixonŽ hats, carry SrixonŽ bags and use SrixonŽ gloves.
